The 30-year-old Gatlinburg, Tenn., native led the final 13 laps to secure the 30-lap victory in the weekly event.
“Big thanks to Ramsey Brothers Racing for letting me drive this hot rod, I appreciate the opportunity, “ McCarter said. “I haven’t got to race as much as I would like in 2024 but I feel like we are headed in the right direction. Also have to shout out to my family for supporting me and our crew for all of their help. Branden and his entire team are great to work with.”
Mack McCarter returned to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) over the weekend to pilot the Ramsey Brothers Racing No. 51 Late Model for the weekly event.
With 19 Late Models signed in on Saturday night, Mack laid down the fourth-quickest lap in qualifying which placed him on the second row for the A-Main. Quickly moving into the bridesmaid spot, McCarter took the lead away from Cody Courtney on lap 18 and then led the remaining 13 circuits en route to his first victory of the season.
McCarter outran Tyler Price and Stewart Matt to the checkers and collected $2,000 for his efforts.
During the same night in Indiana, Mack’s brother Pierce entered his McCarter Farms No. 71 Super Late Model into battle at Brownstown Speedway for the Northern Allstars Late Model Series-sanctioned Hall of Fame Classic. After turning in a third-place heat finish, Pierce was an early retiree from the 50-lap feature with 46 laps complete.
