Mack McCarter takes on Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway
On Thursday afternoon, Mack McCarter unloaded his McCarter Brothers Racing No. 51 at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 29th running of the Dirt Late Model Dream weekend.
With the massive 95-car field split into two groups, McCarter started off the weekend with a 10th-place finish in his heat race. With one more chance to make a preliminary feature, Mack recorded an eighth-place outing.
For another round of prelims on Friday, Mack stopped the clock 15th-quickest and started on the pole of his heat race via the invert. After not getting a great start, McCarter faded to finish seventh and was unable to transfer to a prelim feature in his Last Chance Showdown later in the evening.
Wrapping up the weekend on Saturday, McCarter started and finished 11th in his heat race which relegated him to a Last Chance Showdown. Being buried in the LCS, Mack was a scratch from the race.
