Mack steers to podium finish at Boyd's Speedway

Mack McCarter made his lone start of the Independence Day weekend on Friday afternoon at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.) for the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series-sanctioned Stars and Stripes 40.

With time trial results placing him on the third row for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Mack jumped up three spots in the 40-lap affair to finish third. He followed Donald McIntosh and Vic Hill across the line.
