Mack finishes 11th in Mountain Moonshine Classic prelim

With a seventh-place finish in his heat race pinning him 13th on the starting grid for the preliminary feature, McCarter gained two spots in the 30-lap affair to finish 11th.

On Saturday evening, Mack followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with the third-and-final transfer spot in his B-Main. Earning the 21st-starting position for the $50,000-to-win Mountain Moonshine Classic, McCarter carried a steady pace in the 60-lapper to place 21st.
