Early exit in Tennessee Tipoff at Smoky Mountain

Mack McCarter was one of 36 cars on hand at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon for the Crate Late Model portion of the Tennessee Tipoff. With time trials setting the grid for the main event, McCarter laid down the 16th fastest time overall. With $1,500 on the line in the feature, Mack was an early retiree from the 20-lap affair on lap five. (Josh James Artwork)
