7th Place Finish in Winternationals Opener

Pierce McCarter was one 52 Newsome Crate Racin’ USA Winter Series entries signed in at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) on Thursday evening to kick off the annual Winternationals. After coming in 14th fastest in his time trial group, McCarter logged an 11th place finish in his B-Main forcing him to rely on a provisional into the main event. After losing Friday night’s program to Mother Nature, McCarter returned on Saturday evening for the $5,000-to-win finale. Grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race, Pierce locked into the 15th-starting position for the A-Main. Dropping one spot in the 50-lap affair, Pierce McCarter recorded a 16th place outing.

Pierce currently holds a two-point advantage over Cruz Skinner atop the Crate Racin' USA point standings.
